“The Honor of the Struggle” is the title of this month’s publisher’s column. LatinTRENDS: You are starring in “Addicted” which is to be released October 10th. What was it like working on the thriller film and filming those sexy scenes?

William Levy: It was a challenge for me. It’s always kind of difficult doing these kinds of scenes, but you gotta do what you gotta do. And this character, the way he sees Zoe, the way he touches her and the way he talks to her, it’s a different way. This guy has an unknown past, a kind of dark past that people don’t know. Hes going to make her go through a path that’s going to be really hard for her so I can’t tell you about that. That’s where the twist comes.

LT: You have many upcoming films to be released in 2015. Can you talk about those projects?

WL: We have “Term Life,” we have “A Change of Heart” and “The Veil.” “The Veil,” I play a warrior, it’s a very fun character. I had a lot of fun doing this character. He’s a guy who has revenge for the death of his family and he has a vendetta for that. It’s an action movie so we had a lot of fighting scenes.

After that movie we have “Term Life” with Vince Vaughn. I had the chance to play a drug dealer, a Mexican narco. It was kind of fun. I like doing different things. I don’t like getting tired, getting bored. I don’t like getting my audience bored or tired of my work. I like doing different things for me and for them. And then we have “A Change of Heart,” which is a fun movie, it’s a romantic comedy.

LT: If your children, Christopher or Kailey said they wanted to go to Hollywood, what would you advise them?

WL: I would say yes, I support them. I want to make sure that’s what they wanna do.

LT: How do you stay in shape?

WL: Playing sports actually. If I tell you the truth you won’t believe me. I eat a lot! I eat everything so I don’t have a diet. I eat rice and beans, I eat pasta and I eat all that. I thank God because I have a very fast metabolism and I play sports it makes it faster so I’m always playing sports. I’m always playing with my kids. I’m always running with them. That’s really the reason why I stay in shape. If I don’t eat rice and beans and pasta I think I’ll get really skinny.

LT: What do you attribute your success to?

WL: The fact that I was born in Cuba and raised in Cuba. I don’t need more motivation than that to do something in life. I thank God everyday for giving me the opportunity to do what I like to do and being able to do it in the USA which is the best country in the world. I thank God everyday for that.

Did William Levy’s First Hollywood Role Get a “D” for Dud?

William-Levy-hot-william-levy-gutierrez-9311251-1280-890

Actor and model William Levy attempted to bring his sexy persona to life in the Tyler Perry Film, “The Single Moms Club,” playing the role of the bartender in the film. Let’s be real ladies..

What do you see? A sexy Latino in a fitted shirt with ridiculous abs that glisten through the cotton T-shirt while serving you drinks. Meanwhile you’re praying he gives you his number when he gives you the napkin… (yummm!)

This third-place “Dancing With the Stars” winner, who was named People en Español’s “sexiest man of the year” and is sometimes referred to as the Latino Brad Pitt, has earned a majority of his income by flexing his biceps, acting in soaps, posing for calender photo shoots and endorsements of fruit-flavored Pepsi Next sodas.

What part of the camera didn’t like William? Too many scripted lines? Not enough lines?
Is he losing his hotness? Or are there too many haters? What do you think?

VIDEO: Latino Star William Levy In The ‘Single Moms Club’

Cuban-American heartthrob William Levy is trying his hand at comedy in Tyler Perry’s new movie, The Single Moms Club.

But the role is also bringing out his serious side. The Telanovela star tells El Nacional, “I grew up with a single mother and never had my father by my side. Fortunately, or unfortunately, this taught me beautiful things, and I learned what my children need from me.” In the movie, William plays “Manny,” a waiter involved with “Esperanza,” played by Colombian actress Zulay Henao. The two represent the Latino couple of a movie, that’s a comedy on the surface, but is really a tribute to single moms.

Victor Ortiz, aka @VICIOUSortiz, is Breaking Out of the Ring & Hitting the Dance Floor

A few weeks back the buzz on the web was that Dancing with the Stars pro, Cheryl Burke, was hoping to get a little Victor Cruz salsa action on the show this year. He declined, it didn’t happen. Nonetheless, they still got their Victor!

Mexican-American lightweight boxing champ, Victor Ortiz, will be in America’s living rooms starting March 18th when Dancing With the Stars kicks off it’s 16th season. Can you believe it?! 16 seasons already!

The Latino lightweight, nicknamed Vicious for his boxing style, will have to soften up for this new gig.You can’t deny it’s an extreme change of pace for him. It’s going to be interesting (and entertaining) to see how he does. I can’t imagine his dancing partner, Lindsay Arnold (Top 8 Latin Ballroom dancer last year, and So You Think You Can Dance alum) would appreciate a rough and tough comrade. But I have all my faith in Ortiz. If he’s as graceful on the dance floor as he is in the ring, it’s going to be alright.

DWTS has done nothing but solidify their participants celebrity status, and Ortiz will be no exception. For all those non-boxing fans out there, you’re about to meet another (literally) kick-ass Latino!

Who is his competition you ask? Let me say, it’s an impression lineup.
A pair of Olympic Gold Medalists: Aly Raismand & Dorothy Hamill
A pair of Country Singers: Wynonna Judd & Kellie Pickler
A pair of comedians: Andy Dick & D.L. Hughley
A pair of thespians: Ingo Rademacher & Zendaya Coleman
And a couple of randoms: Superbowl champ Jacoby Jones & Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump

This is exciting, Victor is about to a join the impressive company of two DWTS hottie alumni, Mario Lopez, and William Levy..It’s going to be another run ride!
