EL POETA CALLEJERO: UN TIGRE DECENTE PREOCUPADO POR LAS INJUSTICIAS SOCIALES

poeta-callejereo

Jessica Alba joins cast of NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice!

rsz_jessica_alba

Jessica Alba has just been revealed to be a part of the upcoming season of NBC’s The Celebrity Apprentice as a boardroom adviser.

No longer being manned by Donald Trump—after he was fired (all pun intended) last year after his comments regarding Mexican immigrants living in the country forced NBC to make the decision to nix the billionaire—the new Celebrity Apprentice will be hosted by none other than the terminator himself Arnold Schwarzenegger .

Alba who is a burgeoning tycoon herself thanks to her Honest Company—which is one of the leading lines of eco-friendly products—will be advising a series of celebrities as they compete for the $250,000 check that will go to the winner’s charity of choice.

Entering the boardroom to face Schwarzenegger & Alba will be former Jersey Shore reality star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, retired four-time boxing world champion Laila Ali, Boy George, Porsha Williams, as well as many more.

So excited to be apart of this show! Thank you to everyone involved and having me apart of this crazy journey!” Snooki wrote in an Instagram post after the announcement.

For the new season of Celebrity Apprentice, the show moves from New York City to Los Angeles where the celebrity apprentices will compete in numerous business-type challenges in Silicon beach.

Currently Miss New York, NY for Swimsuit USA International, Natalia Bonilla is not just another swimsuit model. Natalia, a native New Yorker of Dominican descent, is in the process of acquiring her Master degree in the field of Emergency and Disaster Management in hopes of opening her own non-profit organization to help women in less fortunate situations.  Aside from modeling and working toward her career, Bonilla is also very passionate about acting. Currently, Natalia is working on “The Familia” directed by John Damroth and Noel Torres.

When did you start modeling?

I’ve been doing it since I was 17 years old. Although I was a tomboy and wasn’t into the whole looking like a diva thing, I joined a pageant, actually Miss Latina NY, USA and I won. So then I went to Las Vegas to participate in Miss Latina USA. From that moment on my career started. After that I worked with many different photographers and appeared in various magazines.

What diet plan do you do to maintain your weight?

I eat the right foods. Usually I have my green drinks on the weekend because of my fast metabolism. I’ll do something like fresh kale, cucumber, ginger, celery and apple to give it a sweet taste to it. And during the week I like to eat foods that are high in protein like salmon or chicken. In the morning I’ll have something like a white egg veggie omelet.

What daily routine do you do to stay fit?

I go to the gym, but when I don’t have time to go to the gym I do Capoeira [Brazilian martial arts]. I dedicate at least 45 minutes a day working out at home.

What motivates you?

I have a good team behind me, Tracey Smith who has been my manager for 5 years, Jason Artiga who shot my Capoeira pictures, but I think what motivates me is that I come from a place where we are very humble. I am the first in my family to graduate from college and will be the first to get a Masters. I also want to be able to help people. I want to be a positive role model for my people and all women.

Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias Television in-the-works at ABC!

gabriel-iglesias

Gabriel Iglesias is primarily known for his stand-up which has been screened on movie screens, posted online, and with a comedy special here or there on cable but now the “Fluffy” star will get a shot on the little screen.

Iglesias has just earned a pilot order from ABC for his new show entitled, “The Fluffy Shop” which will center around the comedian’s own life.

According to sources, the show will be scripted and will surly have the occasional improv when the script calls for it. There are even comments coming out stating the show will be quite similar in the way of Seinfield which loosely followed the real life of Jerry Seinfield.

While Iglesias has appeared on several other television shows—Cristela a short-lived sitcom on ABC—this will be the comedian’s first foray into a show centered around himself. And it is expecting to be just as funny, and racy, as the Fluffy man himself.

With routines that not only poke fun at himself, but also pokes fun at everyone one else, Iglesias’s show could very well draw criticism for its no-holds-barred style of comedy that can get people thinking or merely offend those who just don’t get it.

Having a prominent career on the road, Iglesias accredits his family for giving him the inspiration and much needed material for his stand-up comedy that will provide for a good source on his show that could be a perfect fit at ABC.

There has been no word yet on when we will see the Magic Mike star’s show go into production.

TANIA BAEZ REINVENTS HERSELF AS A MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER AND LIFE COACH AFTER 30 YEARS IN TELEVISION.

After being one of the most important and respected figures in the Dominican Republic for nearly three decades, Tania Baez, the famous TV host, producer, journalist and entrepreneur decides to reinvent herself at the age of 48, leaving her comfort zone behind and becoming a life coach and a transformational speaker.

An unknown and risky path, “it was very difficult, as human beings we resist change, despite recognizing that change is the only thing predictable in life,” she says, but understood that her passion changed and transformed, that she felt the overwhelming need to help others, and that many of the day-to-day activities of the television show business felt empty and insignificant.

And it was this intense desire to empower others who started her on the path of inspirational coaching; she trained with great leaders like Anthony Robbins, Jack Canfield and Oprah Winfrey. She began to knock on doors, tired of living in half, “I was with my passion cut in half because I did not dare take the step of making my dream come true.” When she did not find opportunities, she decided to create them and open her own doors. She left her prosperous TV show and created her own motivational conferences.

Now, Tania faces the great challenge of bringing her conferences throughout Latin America and United States. “YO VOY POR MAS (I’m going for more),” her most recent conference was a huge success and it was completely sold out in October at Lehman College in New York, as well as Honduras, Miami, Boston and several other Central American countries.

This warrior of life and award-winning communicator has lived in front of TV cameras since the tender age of 16. Her triumphs, pregnancies, divorce, grandchildren, romances, everything has been under the scrutiny of the public, which now supports this new facet of her career.

VOY POR MAS is one the most rewarding things I have done“, she admits, “this conference is a wake-up call, a reminder to everyone that you have unlimited potential“.

SIX PRINCIPLES TO GO FOR MORE AND AWAKEN YOUR POTENTIAL

1. Recognize that you want to change and specifically identify the things you want in your life.

2. Make a plan of action, a list of the steps you’ll take to achieve your dream.

3. Open yourself to change by changing attitudes and behavior patterns.

4. Be flexible. The destination can manifest itself with setbacks, be flexible and dance to the rhythm of your dreams.

5. Be grateful – be thankful for the opportunities that appear along the way.

6. Watch your words and thoughts. There is an extraordinary power in what we say.

Passionate and defiant, this life coach assures us that she already manifested and proclaimed the next steps in her career. She assured to Oprah Winfrey in a recent meeting to not forget her name, because she, Tania Báez, will be her next coach of empowerment and reinvention for the Hispanic market, she says with a huge smile and the security and conviction of one who knows what she wants and recognizes the universe as the best ally.

And it is this woman who enjoys the support and affection of 10 million Dominicans and the thousands of allies who come together every day on her path. And it’s not hard to predict and know that Tania will definitely go for much more.
