Shakira’s Sexy New Single

After over a month of anticipation, Shakira‘s new single “Chantaje (Blackmail) ” featuring Maluma has finally hit the airwaves.

Shakira’s new single will be a part of her first full album under Jay-Z‘s Roc Nation management team. Her previous manager was Argentine lawyer Antonio de la Rua, who was her romantic partner for 11 years.

Unfortunately, after leaving Rua, he sued the multiplatinum singer initially for $250 million and then for $100 million. The lawsuit was dismissed and Shakira moved on to a relationship with Spanish footballer Gerard Pique with whom she has two sons with.

Could “Chantaje” be about her former lover?

Throughout the song Shakira sings that “en esta relación soy yo la que manda (in this relationship, I am the boss) and that “Yo nunca quise burlarme de ti (I never wanted to mock you).”

Listen to the full song below.

Lyrics below:

Spanish

Chantaje

Yo te quiero aunque no quieres
Puro, puro chantaje
Puro, puro chantaje
Yo te quiero aunque no quieres
Puro, puro chantaje
Puro, puro chantaje
Vas libre como el aire
English translation

Blackmail

I love you but you do not want
Pure, pure blackmail
Pure, pure blackmail
You are free as air
In this relationship, I am the boss
Do not stop ball, that’s bad propaganda
So that you’re gone, so you eat the ear
Do not go right, which is not twisted
Ask him, or anyone you want
Look swear it is not so
I was never a bad intention
I never wanted to mock you
I love you but you do not want
Pure, pure blackmail
Pure, pure blackmail
You are free as air

MOZART LA PARA SIGNS WITH ROC NATION

romeo-mozart

Well, with the stroke of a pen, Romeo Santos made a impact move worthy of his career successes and impressed Roc Nation head, Jay-Z. As the CEO of Roc Nation Latino, Santos made his first round pick for the newly created Latin Division. His selection was 28-year old urban artist Mozart La Para.

This is Jay-Z’s second attempt at tapping into the lucrative Latino market after failing with Roc La Familia previously. This time he put a multi-award winning artist at the uber spot and trusted him in building an elite team. Roc Nation likes signing top talent just as they are on the verge of elite status.

Mozart La Para, from the Dominican Republic, who has been performing since 2002, has been the most promising artist in recent years. He established himself on his home island with his music and his 2015 autobiographical Film Pueto Pa’, broke theater sales records there. His fusing of urban and tropical styles has made him unique and caught the eye of Romeo.

“Here at Roc Nation Latin we recognize his talents and today we welcome him,”

Santos announced.

La Para recognizes the advantages that being associated with Roc Nation wields in the industry and accepted a two million dollar deal to sign up.

“It’s an honor to be a part of Roc Nation,”

La Para shared,

“Having two great powers like Romeo and Jay-Z guiding you and helping your music to be universal is a blessing.”

Shakira Working on New Music?

Singer Shakira has not been on the airwaves much since having her second child, Sasha, with her partner the Spanish pro football player Gerard Pique, but that may all change soon.

Five days ago, the multilingual “Whenever, Wherever” songstress posted a video of herself dancing to music in a studio for her 23.9 million followers on Instagram to see.

Hard at work. Shak

In the video, the natural beauty is joking that “she doesn’t have any cream on her face” as she shakes her hips to a beat being produced for a new song.

This will be her first full album being made under her new management team Roc Nation, which is owned by hip-hop mogul Jay-Z. Her last studio album was the self-titled “Shakira,” which came out in 2014.

JAY Z AND OSCAR DE LA HOYA WAGER ON THEIR FIGHTERS

The upcoming fight for the WBC Middleweight championship between champion Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez will have high stakes. Not the least of which are two powerful men who have put their money where their promotional mouths are.

Jay-Z, music mogul and creator of Roc Nation Sports, who has Cotto under his umbrella of talent, and Oscar De La Hoya, former multiple time Boxing World champion and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions , who has Canelo under his promotional flag, have made a bet concerning the November 21st fight taking place at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The origin of the wager came out of visits to their respective boxer’s camps as they both came out confidently boasting about their fighter’s odds of winning this contest.

What came out of it was a $100,000 bet with the winner’s earnings going to their specific philanthropist endeavors. Should Cotto win, then Jay-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation will receive Oscar’s donation. If Canelo comes out on top, then Oscar’s White Memorial Center’s cancer unit will benefit from a Jay-Z donation.

So not only will there be interest in the winner, who goes on to fight Gennady Golovkin, but in the betting outcome as well for these two most successful of entertainment businessmen.

Is Beyonce and Jay-Z’s Marriage In Trouble?

Beyonce and Jay-Z were all hugs and kisses during their Wednesday night concert in Seattle. Ever since TMZ released the video of Solange attacking Jay-Z after the MET Ball rumors began to fly that were are over, split, broken-up, or divorced. This display of affection seemed to prove otherwise.

Beyonce stated to Hollywood Life that she does not want a divorce, she’s very against it on principal. That’s why they waited so long to get married — she wanted to be a hundred percent sure. Jay and Beyonce also agreed that they would never put their daughter, Blue Ivy through a divorce. It’s been a hard couple of months, but who doesn’t have problems in their relationships?

I’m really happy to know that Beyonce and Jay Z are putting what’s most important to them a priority — their Blue Ivy

Do you think this is real or a publicity stunt? Does this dynamic duo really need the press? Can this be a mere plot to sell tickets for the “On The Run” Tour? Share your thoughts.

We definitely felt the heat when the blazzin’ couple of Jay-Z and Beyonce brought “On The Run” to the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

This dynamic duo opened with their 2002 hit single: “03 Bonnie And Clyde,” before going into their solo acts.
With their creative collaborations as powerful performers on stage and true partners in life, there was no way they were on the run with the thousands of fans mesmerized by their performance.

Their passion was on full display as they romanced through this “On The Run Tour” concert.
Jay-Z had much to say with “Public Service Announcement” and “Dirt Off Your Shoulder,” while Beyoncewas being a “Naughty Girl” and sang “Run The World.”

And as the fairytale ended they came back together for “Drunk in love.”

Roc Nation Sports, Jay-Z’s new sports agency, signs Yankees 2B Robinson Cano

New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano.

New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano.

Brooklyn rapper Jay-Z has just launched Roc Nation Sports, which announced New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano as its first client Tuesday. The new agency will jointly represent Cano with Creative Artists Agency’s sports division.

“Because of my love of sports, it was a natural progression to form a company where we can help top athletes in various sports the same way we have been helping artists in the music industry for years,” Jay-Z, born Shawn Carter, said in a statement.

Cano, a four-time All-Star, parted ways with powerful sports agent Scott Boras in order to “take a more active role in my endeavors both on and off the field.”

Added Cano in reference to his new representation: “I am confident that the pairing of Roc Nation Sports and CAA Sports will be essential in helping me accomplish my short and long-term goals. I am making this important decision now so I can keep my focus on helping the Yankees succeed in 2013, while minimizing any distractions for me and my teammates.”

Boras is widely known for negotiating Alex Rodriguez’s 10-year, $252 million pact with the Texas Rangers following the 2000 season, the three-time MVP’s last with the Seattle Mariners. Rodriguez, traded to New York nine years ago, infamously exercised the opt-out clause in his Texas contract during the 2007 World Series, after which Boras negotiated a $275 million deal that will keep the third baseman in pinstripes through 2017.

Barring an in-season extension, Cano will become a free agent at the conclusion of the 2013 campaign.
