October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Latinas. Even though Latinas have lower breast cancer rates than white women, they are more likely to be diagnosed at a later stage, when the cancer is harder to treat.
As a reminder starting at age 40, women should have mammograms every 1-2 years. However, women at any age can request a mammogram based on family history and if you find any unusual bumps during self-examination.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month I wanted to share some awesome products that are helping to raise funds and awareness.
