This Thursday LatinTRENDS was in the house! The Repertorio Español playhouse to be specific.
We dashed out into a cold and windy New York night for the premier of Fuenteovejuna, a play by Félix Arturo de Vega y Carpio—Spanish playwright of the Golden Age and father of Spanish drama. But this production is different. We don’t want to give too much away, but wait until you see what director, Julián Mesri has done with the piece. Let’s just say that he has found a way to transform this drama in a manner that modern-day audiences with absolutely love!
Check out the March issue of LatinTRENDS for more details on the production and interview with director, Julián Mesri.
