The next movie to be released for the The Fast and the Furious franchise will have a Latino all star cast. It is reported that actors Eva Medes, Michelle Rodriguez, and reggaeton mogul Don Omar will star in the sixth sequel.
Director of the film Justin Lin recently stated that veteran to the franchise Vin Diesel as well as Paul Walker, Eva Mendes, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, among others, are intended to make appearances in the film. The sequel will be split into two films. Diesel stated in a recent interview, “We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages.”
Work on the film will begin in 2012. The release date for the first installment is May 24, 2013, while the final installment is set to premiere on Memorial Day, 2015.
