Emmanuel Diaz has fulfilled everything an artist can on the local scene in his 23 years. At every level of education he has acquired scholarships and studied with the best teachers and programs New York City has to offer. Now known as Manny Soundz, he has released several singles in 2015 from the album “As Manny Soundz as Possible.”
Under the banner of Villarq Music & Entertainment, LLC, this Dominican-American storyteller is a four genre genius, equally adapt in Latin Pop, R&B, Jazz, and Bachata.
“My music I have to say is Latin Fusion, being that the core of my music is Latin-based, with ingredients from diffetent genres mixed into the pot.”
Four years ago, Manny released “Poema Natural” and it won him rave reviews which culminated in his named as “Best New Latin Pop Artist” at the Premios Latinos in New York in 2012. Now with his current effort its about the whole musical package.
“My biggest obstacle has been deciding which genre suits my talent the best.”
Manny explained,
“Versatility is what I bring to the table, the ability to never bore my audience.”
Manny Soundz is releasing three videos along with singles with “Quisiera Ser” the centerpiece song. Not bad for a young man still attending College seven months out of the year. “I plan to truly make a name for myself during my time off.”
The path an artist normally takes is often built through the foundation of another artist that sets the ball rolling. In Manny’s case there has always been only one, Juan Luis Guerra. ”
It’s a cliche answer amongst Latin artists but I dont mind because he’s that good.”
Manny responded, “He has been a staple for me as a musician. His songwriting is impeccable, his music influential, and persona is always humble. I strive to be like him.” Not a bad place for one’s music to reflect.
