As a curvy Latina I would like to shout this out “CURVES ARE IN LADIES”.
For years curvy women were told to stick with dark colors and oversize garments to appear slimmer. But thankfully all those myths our out the window and we are now embracing our sexy curves and wearing patterns, bright colors and form fitting fashion that showcase our amazing silhouette.
Pencil skirts are one of my closet sheros. These skirts are made to hug our curves…day or night you can’t go wrong with a good pencil skirt. You can wear it with a button down shirt for work, a graphic tee-shirt for a day with the girls or pair it with a peplum shirt for a fabulous date night. For cold days just add some opaque tights, amazing pair of pumps or some knee high boots or bootie to finish the look. For a long time leggings had a bad rap and were considered a curvy girl fashion “don’t” but that is also in the past. Leggings styled correctly are a curvy girl’s MUST this fall season. Again don’t shy away from being bold and standing out. Experiment with texture and patterns this fall. Pair them with a good bootie to elongate your curvy frame.

Prints Prints Prints…..its time to jump out the box ladies. Major designers fall collection all included fabulous prints and guess what? Our curvas look great in them too. Here are a few options to consider this fall. Pair them with black Opaque tights for a sleek off the runway look.
TIP: If you splurge on a good pair of tights it will not only make the look complete it will flatten your tummy area, smooth your hips and lift las pompas. Opaque tights are a fashion WIN!!!!!
Denim is in and always will be, but when you are curvy shopping for jeans are a true nightmare. The truth is Latinas need more room in the hips and butt area. After a few hit and miss I have 3 go to brands that work great on my curves and are very fashionable. PZI Jeans, NY & Company and Fashion To Figure. Contrary to what people say…curves look great in skinny jeans and dark washes give us a slimming affect and are extremely versatile.
New Fashion Alert: This fall you can mix denim with denim. So pair your fitted jeans with a denim shirt (even if it’s a different wash). Look at the example below from Mynt 1792. You can also wear them with a fabulous printed shirt, blazers or an open front cardigan.
