Carmelo Anthony Drops 41 in Playoff Win Against the Heat
Carmelo Anthony NBA superstar and African-Puertorican native along with the New York Knicks stop the heat in game 4 of the playoffs ending a post season playoff losing streak of 13 games. Carmelo scored 41 points along with Stoudemire with 20 points and 10 rebounds. The interim coach Mike woodson said “It’s about time, this team is good enough to win games. We’ve proven that we can beat anybody in this league. But it could not happen to a better group of guys. And for the Knicks fans, I mean, they’ve been waiting for a long time, but it’s just one game and we have a long way to go.” No NBA team has never in the history of the league been able to come back from a 3-0 deficit. With another injury occurring to Barron Davis will make this even harder for the Knicks. But along with the win, Anthony made a tiebreaking 3 pointer with 54.5 seconds left helping the Knicks win there first game since Toronto in April 29, 2001 in game 3 of a best-of-five series. Anthony said I’m glad that we came together after that, kept our composure, kept on fighting and won the basketball game, we stepped up to the challenge.” Carmelo shot 15 of 29 and came one point shy of his playoff career best after he only made 34.4 percent of his shots in the first three games.
