Calle 13’s new music video for “La bala” off their new album “Entren los que quieran” was released today. The production was a dream come true for the duo because it was a project that consisted of ten different directors from several countries such as Germany, Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, France, Holland, Israel, Mexico, New York and Puerto Rico. René Pérez explained the concept of the video on his Twitter page. He explained how the video shows the route of an invisible bullet which impacts the lives of whoever it encounters. Perez also expressed his pain in seeing how many human beings can devalue life. The video is a narrative that shows the impact of a bullet when it is given life and then converted to a character of a killer. One of his favorite verses from the song has been used in several protests around the world, ‘Hay poca educación, hay muchos cartuchos; cuando se lee poco, se dispara mucho.’ The lyrics for “La bala” have been translated into nine different languages.
