The first edition of Rio Content Market, an international seminar and market place where multi-platform content was given prime visibility, was produced by ABPI-TV – The Brazilian Independent Television Producers Association. At the first edition of Rio Content Market participants presented their latest ideas, case studies, meet new partners and purposed relevant business models for the development of partnerships and co-production within one of the fastest-growing industries in the world: information and entertainment!
Brazil is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, a country with 200 million people, 73 million Internet users and 175 million cell phones and expanding in all areas. With the market booming, telecommunication companies and the government, are investing in a major way in new productions. The government of Brazil is creating new quotas that will influx fresh new funds of US $230-million in the local audiovisual sector.
All these new developments make Brazil one of the main attractive hubs worldwide to invest and work with partners in the audiovisual sector. Among the major attractions, included are the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games hosted in Rio de Janeiro.
Latino America is on the map! Watch out world!
