There are many beautiful places in Colombia, but there are three destinations in particular that are sure to make a Colombian getaway an unforgettable experience.
1. Monserrate is an over 10,000-ft. mountain located in the middle of Bogotá, the capital city of Colombia.
Atop the mountain, there is a beautiful church that overlooks the city. It’s a great destination for reflecting and catching a whiff of serenity.

2. Forte of San Felipe in Cartagena offers great insight into the history of Colombia’s old city, Cartagena. According to Lonely Planet, “it is the greatest fortress ever built by the Spaniards in any of their colonies.” The fort was originally small in size, until 1762 when it was enlarged.

3. El Cabo, Tayrona National Park is made up of an array of beaches. It’s an essential setting to visit while in Colombia. The hut perched on a hill looking over the beach makes it an iconic destination.
