Telemundo’s WNJU-TV was the #1 Spanish-language station in the market in November 2011 in primetime among adults 18-49 and 25-54 and in local late news among adults 25-54, according to Nielsen. The station was also the #1 station regardless of language in early fringe in key demos of adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
For nine consecutive months, WNJU delivered year-over-year growth in primetime, up +41% among adults 18-49 and +56% among adults 25-54, making it the fastest growing station in New York, regardless of language. The station also has maintained for nine consecutive months the #1 ranking at 10pm among Spanish–language stations in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and WNJU’s “Noticiero 47” at 11pm delivered 11 consecutive months of year-over-year growth among adults 25-54.
“Caso Cerrado Edicion Estelar” at 7pm was the #1 program in its time period across Spanish-language broadcast stations among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. “La Casa de al Lado” at 10pm was the #1 novela among adults 25-54 in primetime.
WNJU ranked #1 in key demos during early fringe across all stations in the market regardless of language. “Caso Cerrado” is also New York’s #1 court show across all stations in key demos, beating “Judge Judy” on WCBS, “The People’s Court” on WNYW and “Divorce Court” on WWOR and has remained the #1 program in the 4pm time period for the sixth consecutive month among adults 18-49. In addition, “Al Rojo Vivo” at 5pm was the #1 program among adults 18-34 during November sweeps.
