If you’re traveling to faraway places, like Brazil, then jet lag is almost always a given. Jet lag, if you’re not familiar with the term, refers to your body’s lack of synchronization with a new time zone. What does this really mean? You’re bound to be exhausted.
There are a few steps you can take to tackle jet lag:
1) Relax during your flight back home. Watch a movie or listen to music, but also incorporate a nap.
2) Nap, but don’t nap for too long. Napping will help you cope with exhaustion, but don’t sleep so long that sleeping during your regular sleeping hours becomes nearly impossible
3) Take care of yourself. When you’re exhausted, it’s easy to forget the simple things, like staying hydrated.
4) Don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s normal to be jet lagged, so don’t let it get you down. Take small steps each day to get your cycle back to normal.
How have you coped with jet lag in the past?
