Marc Anthony is one of the greatest performers of our generation and Saturday night’s concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn did not disappoint. The salsa singer opened up with one of his English tunes “I Need To Know” which he hardly sings in his shows. Trust me, I’ve been to tons of his concerts. He sang some of his greatest hits including “Contra La Corriente,” “Hasta Ayer” (with a violin solo that gave me chills), “Hasta Que Te Conoci” and “Vivir Lo Nuestro” where the audience sang La India’s part. When will those two sing together again?
It was no surprise Tito El Bambino was going to perform since Marc posted pictures of the two of them on his Twitter and it was announced on the radio. But when Romeo Santos joined Marc on stage to sing “Nadie Como Ella” the crowd went nuts! The two (Romeo with Aventura) were on tour together a few years back and performed at Madison Square Garden. Marc then announced there were more surprises in store! Who else could it be? Then came Pitbull singing their hit “Rain On Me.” The song got everyone pumped and out of their seats to dance. This was a show like no other!
Proceeds from the show will benefit the Maestro Cares Foundation, which he co-founded last year along with business associate Henry Cardenas and has already raised over $500,000 through various fundraising efforts.
