Jennifer Lopez has always stirred up controversy and this time it was for revealing a bit too much for British television. JLO performed her new single, “Live It Up,” on “Britain’s Got Talent,” in a skintight black leotard and thigh-high boots black boots which angered viewers.
The UK Office of Communications, Ofcom received numerous complaints about the 44-year-old superstar’s raunchy, sexually charged performance on a family-friendly prime-time show. “If we consider the potential that the broadcasting code wasn’t abided by, there is potential we would investigate,” a spokesman for the organization told E! News.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their anger:
“Could Jennifer Lopez‘s outfit be any more inappropriate for a family show?” Then added: “What sort of role model are you being for the young girls watching?” Another viewer pleaded with Lopez to “cover up your cheeks please!”
One person to praise her performance on Twitter was “Britain’s Got Talent” creator and judge Simon Cowell: “Jlo incredible on the show tonight. A total superstar.”
