Colombian singer Carlos Vives took a break from his current world tour to be the newest face of the “Got Milk?” campaign.
In the Spanish-language ad, is the quote “Music for the soul, protein for the body.”
The “Got Milk?” ad will run in national Hispanic magazines in August and features the 51-year-old sporting the famous milk mustache holding a guitar in his right hand and touching a glass of milk with his left.
The Latin Grammy winner makes sure that he and his four kids “eat a good breakfast that includes milk, naturally rich in nutrients,” according to a communique released by the singer’s publicists.
“I love having a glass of freezing cold milk with breakfast,” Vives said. “It gives me the proteins and other nutrients that I need and the energy to help me face the morning and prepare me for my shows.”
Vives joins other Latin celebrities such as Sofia Vergara and Salma Hayek who have taken part in the “Got Milk?” campaign.
